The Italian manufacturer EFORMA presented a new table concept at the latest Milan 2025 fair – the XL table series, which breaks away from the traditional dining table model and is designed specifically for furnishing large spaces. The XL tops are available in both ceramic and wood versions, perfectly suited to generous dimensions while enhancing the exclusivity of the entire piece. The surface consists of two elements joined by an elegant black chrome steel profile, with total lengths of 340, 400, or 460 cm. The XL collection is available for the Albert, Baly, Cilindro, Onda, Plai, Rotolo, and Teo table models – further extending the range of sizes already offered. This is an annual selection that brings together the best of Italian design, recognizing those products that stand out for their quality, innovation and cultural impact, which will be eligible for the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award 2026 . Since 1954, the Compasso d’Oro has celebrated design products that reflect Italian excellence and know-how. This award has generated a historic collection that has been declared a “good of national interest,” confirming its fundamental role in promoting Italy’s design heritage.
Already winner of the Archiproducts Design Award 2023 in the Furniture category, the Alix armchair is distinguished by the interlacing of the backrest, achieved by the union of leather strips. The motif is inspired by the ’diamond’ decorations that adorned many of Milan’s entrances at the beginning of the 20th century. The thin metal frame supports soft cushions in fabric or leather. The seat cushion is self-supporting, thanks to fiberglass slats embedded in differentiated density polyurethane.
